Technology: What should I buy? & Top tips
Yeah, they’re slightly ridiculous. You can find cheaper stuff than that, though: I bought a 1TB Glyph Atom Raid SSD for ~£550 a few years ago if I remember right, then I have 4TB WD My Passport and 8TB Porsche (yes, the car manufacturer) HDDs that were ~£150 and ~£250 respectively.

What with my TV and it's limited number of HDMI ports, my current setup means I have to switch the cables now and again depending on what I'm playing.

Obviously this will damage the ports over time, so does anyone have any recommendations for 4K HDMI switches?

I've finally got a 4K TV, went with a 49" LG Nano 86 after doing some research. It's supposedly one of the better "future-proof" budget TVs (got it for 599, but I've seen it going for 649) as it's got 4 HDMI 2.1 slots and all that HDR and Dolby vision stuff and it can handle 120FPS apparently.

Haven't tried a lot of games but the ones I have played look noticeably better, even the more basic ones like Verdun. Battlefront 2 looks really impressive. Overall very happy with it and it's nice to finally be getting the most out of my X1X. I'll still try and get hold of one of the new consoles but I'm happy to wait a bit longer thanks to the TV.
